AU info and relevant merdeets go here oh god I have nothing written down it's all in my head send help
The Merzuku AU: MHA canon, except also merfolk exist and the Midoriyas are mers instead of humans. The merfolk thing is the only change.
-Basic break down how ningyo lore informed the mer concepts and design for the AU and how the interplay works with how humans view mer and how mer view "overspirits"
-How the mer exist in and interact with the MHA setting from their own perspective
Fun with language barriers is a universal option and always a personal plus. (I promise not to conlang too hard at anyone who's down for that)
Mer culture and lore
-Break down how mer view humans and human tech through the lens of their cultural and spiritual understanding of the world (tldr "There is no difference between Human and Fae, you moron, you imbecile")
-One or two paragraph overview of how mer society works
-Minor language ramblings (mostly about uniquely mer auditory communication and the "whistle language" language register), body language
Mer biology (aka Seal Biology But Weird)
-General physique summary - tail to torso ratio, vague average sizes, muscles & blubber
-How they behave on land, degree to which they rely on water, sunning behaviors
-How swimming and holding their breath has to be learned and is not inborn/instinctive knowledge; how they physically swim, which fins do what, etc
-What they eat, how they obtain it

Cool with playing mers being either:
- Known to humans as what is assumed to be a strange animal-with-heteromorphic-Quirk miracle of evolution - ones that no one actually realizes are much older than Quirks are or that have human-equivalent intelligence, because "never talk to humans" is so deeply embedded in mer culture due to the perception of them as Fae-esque beings and mer-eaters.
- Completely unknown, and everyone just assumes sightings are people with Quirks or animal-with-Quirk cryptids, not the actual older than Quirks species who became the ningyo of myth and legend. Mers try to avoid human contact when possible and maintain the aforementioned "never talk to them" when they can't, for the same reasons as above.
